“Remember, the dream of the Unreal is beyond your reach. But you, you are real. The Dream is sentient!”

“It’s still too early to tell what changes will be happening to the game after the current release, but we’re currently looking into ways to quickly update game-play changes to the game and maintain a relatively bug-free experience by implementing the latest in game updates to the game seamlessly.

We’ve added a system that lets us change or remove game-play rules quickly and easily through the course of play, but that’s at a very early stage of development at this time. We may eventually release an additional update to the game that adds this feature to the game, but for now, we’re looking at what changes we can make to the game without losing too much appeal to the casual or existing user base.”

Thank you for your continued support!

The Facebook game is essentially a MUD – it’s mostly text based and it simulates a medieval setting. It’s not a totally immersive MMO, and it does not offer a fantasy character creation system (I’m really not sure what it does offer), it’s very text based, and it’s a lot of fun. It lets you wage war against other players, use basic rules of physics to fight in real-time, see a map of your progress in real time as you fight, and sometimes it lets you fight a world war to complete a quest.

If you ever played a text-based game and wanted to play an immersive game, then it might be a fun way to experience MMO gaming. It’s definitely different, but I think it’s fun. So yeah. That’s what it is.

Hello, King Wilful here. I want to give you guys an update on what’s going on here.

Scythe was a 90% complete title for PC back in 2013. It was successfully funded and released in 2014, but technical difficulties and the random nature of these things prevented us from being able to actually release the game. Unfortunately, we never really got around to working on the game’s story-line, so it’s now just a pretty game that I think about sometimes from time to time.

The current issue is that the team that made Scythe parted ways and established a new studio in 2016. So although the Scythe storyline and the game play are coming together, we no longer share the same people working on it.
