autoturn pro 3d is integrated with vectorworks. the autoturn pro 3d will appear in vectorworks under “user interface”. the interface is similar to that of the vectorworks 2d designer and will allow the user to view the entire path of the vehicle in both 2d and 3d as well as conduct manual turn analysis. the paths in the 3d view are swept out by default. scaling the object can be used to view the path closer to the actual size of the vehicle.
designers can open the 3d scene in the autoturn pro 3d and select the vehicle from the library. the vehicle’s path can be viewed in both 2d and 3d as well as the path can be displayed manually. the turn length can be set and the direction of the vehicle can be determined by the user. the path can be saved to a new file or the existing one. the autoturn pro 3d can also open existing files exported from other packages. the library also contains many of the most used vehicles from autoturn pro 3d’s various capabilities.
some of the other features include the ability to create complex vehicle geometry including turnouts, structures and retaining walls. curves can also be easily added to the path. the curves can be combined to create more complex paths including railroad crossings and intersections. the length of curves can be set and can be combined with the other curves. autoturn pro 3d can export to excel or dwg format and can import the results into a drawing program. autoturn pro 3d has a very user-friendly interface and a graphic user-defined language which makes it easy to design paths and understand the results. autoturn pro 3d is also equipped with a large library of standard vehicles which can be added to the scene. these vehicles are from various countries and can be used to analyze design projects from around the world.
Users can easily make adjustments to the design geometry, change speed and other parameters, and conduct a test run in seconds. Once the test is complete, the results can be saved for post-process editing and retesting later.
