Windows Internet Explorer 7 MUI Pack consists of a collection of language resource files that can be added to IE 7 in order to ease web tasks for non-English speakers.
The pack addresses a large audience, consisting of both home users, as well as organizations that prefer to work with a browser interface displayed in their native language, resulting in an improved workflow.
On the other hand, this solution comes in extremely handy for development projects, as client requests might be bent on a particular language.
Although Microsoft provides separate language files for Internet Explorer, these make quite the short list compared to the array provided by the MUI Pack.
What’s more, having such a complete set of languages deployed on the system may turn out to be a wiser choice, especially for large companies that target a multi-language audience.
The compatibility of the pack is limited to Windows XP (Media Center and SP 2) or Windows Server 2003 with Internet Explorer 7 installed (in English). Any other combination of operating systems with a different version of IE will turn out to be unsuccessful.
Deployment is a step-by-step process that ends in a couple of minutes and requires a restart in order to take effect. What might seem unusual is the fact that the pack will install all the supported languages automatically, failing to offer an option to select only the languages of interest.
This, however, can be looked at from a positive angle: the more, the merrier – you never know when you’ll need them. In order to set one of the languages as default, you can navigate to the ‘Internet Options’ windows and then to the ‘Languages’ section. From here, you will be able to seamlessly add and remove languages from the provided list.
An unequaled advantage is that the pack makes it possible for users of different languages to share the same workstation, without having to use multiple Windows accounts. It’s all accomplishable from within Internet Explorer 7 itself.
As a conclusion, Windows Internet Explorer 7 MUI Pack is a must have, providing a compact set of over thirty language files, that users can switch between seamlessly.

12. Microsoft Jet4 Database
Offered under the ‘Learning Tools’ category of Windows Vista, this SQL database may prove to be a worthwhile tool for businesses that make large-scale use of database applications.
It allows users to attach database tables to Microsoft Office Excel data, and vice-versa. This flexible alternative to the well-known ‘Microsoft Access’ allows one to easily share data and draw charts.
This not only speeds up productivity, but also results in greater quality of the results due to data-oriented comparisons.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Jet4 Database requires a multi-user license to be activated.
The only major drawback is the fact that the program only supports MS Excel 2003 and earlier.
Deployment and usage are quite straightforward, and the installation process is limited to a handful of steps, ending with a restart in order to take effect.
If an Office document is opened with data attached to it and used as a source for a chart or graph, the data will be automatically sent to the spreadsheet.
The database can be viewed and edited right in Microsoft Office Excel, and the data can be removed or added via the ‘Data’ menu. Data and tables can also be linked to different Excel workbooks.
Other features offered by the database include:
Adding and removing records
Exporting records from the database to files
Saving records to the database file
Importing data from files
Storing data files on compact discs
Accessing the databases from an external location
Data types supported:
Currency data
Date and time data
Multidimensional arrays
Numeric data
String data
Binary data
The installation for both English and non-English versions of the database is identical and limited to Microsoft Office Excel 2003 or earlier.
To provide users with both an English and a non-English version of the application, you’d need to have a multi-user license.

Where’s the option to change date format?
I tried to find the date format in Preferences. I can see the option for Orientation of the columns.
But there is no option for changing the date format itself. Where is it?

I am getting multiple unkowns on a site.
I have been playing with this for awhile and have had good results. I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with a site that is throwing a ton of unkowns on this IE 7 MUI pack. When I go to and click on the whois tab, after I have added my info, I get a ton of unkowns. I have tested it in multiple versions of IE as well as Chrome. I looked at the source and in every case the same thing shows up, although it is kind of repetitive. I am not sure what the issue is. I am getting lots of unkowns and I am not sure what to change to resolve this. I haven’t tried leaving out non-english words like english ones to see if that is the issue. Any idea?
I am using IE8 on a Windows7 machine, and I get several unkowns on a page that appears to have only english pages, but a site that has french and spanish sites I get
