kemp remillard:i definitely had an easier time working on the cross sections of vehicles than i expected. the vehicles have been designed to be visually interesting and to be functional. the controls are in a way that they are easy to understand but they also have enough nuance and detail to be fun to work with. it is a little harder to work on the spacecraft, as they are really not designed for a lot of fun, but when you find them they have a lot of detail. the first section has an imperial star destroyer and is meant to show the scale. some of the weapons are placed to show you the scale of the things. the second section has the naboo fighter, which is my favorite star wars craft. i really love the detail and i love the way it works. for the first time i was actually able to see the small details on the craft and its engines. the third section is the famous millennium falcon. it is not a model and is not meant to be fun to work on, but i had a lot of fun working on it. i really love the craft and the detail is the most fun thing to work on, as you get to see all the small details on it and how they are attached to the ship.
jake detonator:for the falcon, i was able to go into a level of detail i haven’t had the chance to work on before. it is possible to see how the various pieces are attached to each other, a level of detail i’ve never seen before. it was also nice to find what i am sure was a long lost piece of concept art for the falcon. i think the falcon is the best star wars craft for cross-sections because it is the most well known. i was able to see lots of cool little details on it that i didn’t even know existed before. for the fighters, the x-wing was the most fun to work on. it is a scale model and the action poses the pilot in. it was also an easy one for me because i had already seen a lot of x-wings in the movie.
