I’m looking for a OpenVPN client that can connect to HP MSS WHS2011-1 running on a machine connected to a switch by a LAN link.

I have tried 2 clients:

OpenVPN 2.3.12 with 2.3.12 compile for Windows

OpenVPN 2.3.12 with 2.3.12 compile for Linux

The problem is that the Windows client can connect, but the Linux client cannot connect. The error message is:

connection to server not working

The server log on both clients is:

*** WARNING: UDP_Sendto: [] UDP_Sendto: closing.

The error shown in the Linux client log is:

***** Can’t sync socket with server, giving up

In my opinion the error appears when trying to connect to the server because of the “CLOSE_WAIT” wait time.

I tried to reboot the Linux client machine, but without success.

Is there a possible way to solve this problem?
