Thoughts

I’ve done a few of these tutorials. I think that they are pretty useful as you can install the tool from a downloaded file easily. Because you are installing a pre-built executable, this is very quick.

Downside

The main downside is that you need to install a 3rd party tool and that will give any potential security holes and may cause other issues.

But it appears to run very well in my experience. I use it every day ( I have 2 monitors) and it works perfectly and is really easy to use. It has a good range of options and seems to update in the background. The only thing is that every time I open the clock it always picks the earlier time rather than the time it is at now.

1. Download the file. 2. Click the downloaded link to extract the file. 3. Go to the extracted folder.4. Run the installer.5. Add “elevenclock.exe” to your auto-run list and it will run every startup.

Follow this one-time setup process and your clock should work.

I only noticed that one time when I updated the time in it though. When the clock updates it always updates the earlier time then it is at when you click on the clock. Even though all the other times it updates correctly when I click on it. I have no idea if it is just my computer or not. I have tried it in three different systems and they all do this.

I understand the importance of security at the moment and I appreciate that third party apps can cause issues, but I’m willing to take risks.

Is there a method of not downloading the exe? All I need to do is install this so I do not want to download the exe for this.

I’ll continue to use this and try and update when I find issues with it. But at this moment in time, I’ll continue to use this.

While I do agree that it is important to have the clock running on the second monitor, you are taking the risk of turning it into another security issue. It is a good idea to use custom auto-running tools, but be aware
