Thanks for the feedback and sorry about the negativity. It’s usually not my intention to offend people, but I can honestly tell you that sometimes I don’t take into account the power of the right words. If I come across a problem with a piece of software or hardware, then I like to let people know about it so they can make educated decisions. I try to do everything I can to inform people so that they can find the best solution based on their needs. I like you obviously and hope we can keep this civil.

It is totally understandable that you have been “sitting on it for 3 months” I am not going to take away anything from that. As for presenting it on Phoronix, that was just an information source for me and I appreciate that. To be honest, I don’t even know where the launchpad for the Phoronix is but that doesn’t change the fact that you do good work. I would like to help you so if you have suggestions about getting DiskLED in front of the eyes of more people, then that would be great.

As for “time wasting”, I am not going to answer that with another question, because I don’t know how much time it takes to present DiskLED or how much time you have wasted in the process. It is possible to select an HDD or RAM or network counters to monitor. You can also set the update interval from 1 to 500 ms. Its active window is put in your system tray and simply flickers when HDD activity occurs.

In addition to what Simon said, here is a bit more background from a software engineer:
For example, I had DiskLED installed on my home computer and it did a pretty good job, but I eventually came to realize that it wasn’t telling me enough. Here’s why:

DiskLED only ever told me when my primary drive was active, and even though I had many internal and external drives, when I only had the primary drive, then DiskLED didn’t tell me much.
DiskLED only started to tell me about other drives when they had stopped working. For example, I was using an external drive and one day it stopped working. DiskLED would start flashing when it would have been helpful if it warned me of the problem.
DiskLED would periodically slow down the entire system (well, mine at least). For example, I had it on my home computer (XP) and it would slow the machine down, sometimes several times in a row, such that I would have to reboot the machine.

I needed to have more information so I couldn’t make these kind of silly mistakes.
That’s when I realized I needed something better… and that led me to Tivoli Monitoring Tool.
I found this article that was written about a year before Simon posted his response and it also mentions TMT, but it goes into a bit more detail about how TMT works compared to DiskLED:

To add to the answers, using the Performance Monitor from Task Manager you could define a custom counter to get performance information.
For example, if you’re measuring the Windows I/O Queue Length (IOQUEUELEN) counter you can set the name and range to get the desired results. If you’re interested in what percentage of the counter time is spent in the Disk latency queue, you could set the name and range to something like “Latency Queue” or “Disk Latency Queue” and the specific counters.

The song By The Way by N.W.A is a great song for this mission. What is not so clear is how to trigger the Czerka’s own pursuit mode. I have been told you have to be behind cover, so I took a shot with a sniper rifle from the branch that had cover. I got a stream of Czerka that came one after another.

After you kill the Czerka, the timer runs. The best idea is to get out of the room as soon as the two Czerka’s start firing. Once you are outside of the room, the Czerka’s change their approach to being persistent, so you can either hide or run away. After about 15-20 minutes, they will leave.

I believe that mission is wrong. The way I did it I had a female soldier with a sniper rifle and her and 2 Czerka came and she killed one and then he and the other Czerka came back. It didn’t get stuck.
