We fixed the horizontal scrollbar so it will no longer stick outside the window and the end user won’t have to drag the window manually to get it to show. We fixed some issues in the error handling and error reporting which would prevent a user from getting proper error messages as the program was crashing. We fixed a few windows, especially the notification box, which would pop up despite the user clicking the close button on it.
We added some more utilities to the program. Now it is possible to decrypt a file so you no longer need the AES utility to decrypt files for viewing.
If you are using Advanced File Security Basic as a part of a security suite, you now can encrypt files in the registry so you are sure that even if the password is cracked or if the key is removed from your computer, you can still recover the content. You can turn off the automatic registration of RSA keys. If you want to decrypt a file and don’t have the corresponding AES utility, you can use a new utility we have provided which will generate a “random” AES key for you. We have also added a few more actions to the menu so you can quickly turn off the special files (system files, Windows startup, etc.) and then put them back to their original state when you want to do a security audit or have some fun. You can also add an error handling which would display a message box with an error text as well as on the system tray. This way you don’t have to click the Close button on the notification box anymore and instead you know there is an error with the program.
