calhoun apologizes for her hurtful words. felix, displeased with calhoun’s rejection, orders the shuttle to take off immediately. calhoun begs felix to not leave her and tells him she wants to be able to see him in the car, but felix ignores her. felix takes off, and calhoun angrily exclaims that if he’s going, she’s going with him. felix apologizes, realizing that calhoun would be lost to him forever, and that nothing could repair what they have or what they had before he left her. calhoun accepts this, saying that it had to be this way. the two travel back to the kingdom, where ralph meets them. felix tells ralph to go to the castle where he can help vanellope, and uses his hat to block ralph’s path. wreck-it ralph introduces himself to ralph, to whom he introduces vanellope and felix. ralph tries to comfort felix, and felix says he’s fine.
just then, calhoun and ralph appear, asking to be taken to the castle as well. calvin explains that the other nicelanders saw ralph’s new image and want to go as well. they ask felix if they can go as well, but felix dismisses their request, saying that they’re not part of the story. ralph points out that felix told them to get out of the story, and offers to let them all enter at once for free. felix apologizes, saying that he realizes now that he’s in a bad situation, and lets them all in. however, as they watch, the taffys begin to flee, and the two taffys rush toward calhoun, the other nicelanders and ralph, revealing that felix’s earlier attempts to hold them back were futile.
when the taffys arrive, the taffy-tapping mechanism kicks in, and the four taffys attack the other taffy-tapping mechanism, destroying it. the four taffys then assault the castle walls. sour bill refuses to help, saying he’d better get back to sugar rush. king candy pleads for help, but the taffy-tapping mechanism arrives to the kingdom. upon entering, the four taffys break down the walls and climb down to the castle grounds, where they attack felix, ralph, calhoun and the others. wreck-it ralph and vanellope flee. calhoun fires her kart at the taffys, summoning an army of koopa troopas. the battle rages on, and the taffys begin to fall. the taffys overwhelm the kingdom’s defenses, and the castle begins to collapse. as the castle begins to crumble around them, ralph declares that he’s ready to be good again. when calhoun begins to despair, ralph grabs her hand and leads her to the spot where he had earlier set up his plot.
