the tv series ran on doordarshan , the then national television broadcaster of india. the series was first telecasted in october 1988. the idea of the series was to tell the story of four generations of a chhetri family, with the events happening in india’s present.
it followed the life of a chhetri family from the 16th century. krishna chhetri is played by famed screenwriter-director gulzar. the title song of the series by geeta dutt, suresh wadkar, r.d. burman, bhupinder singh, and the singer geeta dutt is very popular. the show is still popular with younger viewers.

in january 2018, viewers were shocked to learn that a man’s voice could be heard in the trailer, which announced that it would be an all-new mahabharat series and that would be directed by ramanand sagar. the trailer was also released alongside the youtube trailer of raabta, also directed by the filmmaker. it was later revealed that the voice heard in the trailer was that of nitish bharadwaj. in april 2018, he shared a video, in which he thanked the makers of the series, especially ramanand sagar for making his dreams come true.
it was announced by the makers of mahabharat that the long-delayed project would be back on air on national channels shortly, though many fans doubted if any such thing was going to happen. nitish bharadwaj, who had a stupendous role in the iconic television series, was the one who broke the news via social media. he shared a video of him thanking ramanand sagar, and, he said that he was happy to give more than a hundred episodes, if needed, to the series. in october 2018, the new mahabharat began, and is still airing the current season on and off air.
talking about popular shows, “the season 2 of ‘simmba’ will now begin on april 22, 2019 with the release of the first promo teaser. season 1 of the show premiered on january 1, 2019 and had 2×60 minute episodes. the second episode of the show could be considered as the cliffhanger as nagraj (sakshi tanwar) and shivram (aditya pancholi) are seen fighting for their love.

anushka sharma, who had made a buzz with her debut, ‘ek tha tiger’, and is now making a comeback on screen with ‘badhaai ho’, says that she will not take any money for appearing in this film. anushka, who will be playing a singer, shared a few pictures from her entire make-up look for the character. she has now completed shooting and is now gearing up for her music launch where she will also be performing her first song.she shared a few pictures of her character and captioned them, saying: “my debut music launch is on next week.. and, here is my entire look for the character. the shahrraan-esque part. got to share my thoughts and pictures with you guys. wait for next week. ‘
