We are having issue with concurrent write on our SQL Server 2008 Express database. This is because an external app is pulling data from the database which is causing the lock.
This external app is written in PHP and uses the Invoice system from WF to process data.
The table in question is the ‘Invoices’ table which has the column ‘Invoice_ID’ which is a primary key with a constraint of

I believe that the issues here are due to the SQL Server Express (Standard) running on the web server.
The SQL Server (Express) that the web server is using is a local install of SQL Server Express that is used for other purposes on the same machine.
The data written to the database in this external app is causing the database to become locked.
As the application is written in PHP there is no direct access to the database, we are therefore using stored procedures to access the Invoices table. We are using sp_who2 to monitor the database activity and the queries are being issued against the sp_Who2 table.
