Basic Steps for Photo Editing
There are three basic steps you can take in Photoshop to craft an image from your photo. The three processes are:
Adding or removing elements in the image
Changing the color of the image
Adding or removing objects and text
Once you’ve mastered these basic steps, you can add more sophistication by adding tools that let you adjust the color, change the size, and manipulate the image. While Photoshop has many filters that make quick fixes, you can go the traditional route and use layers to create more complicated work. We’ll explain in more detail what these editing methods are, how to do them, and the benefits and trade-offs of each.
Add Elements to Your Photo
You can add things to photos that were not there when the photo was taken. These things are called elements and include anything from text to objects such as flowers, people, and animals.
There are two ways to add elements to your photo. The first is straightforward but tedious.

What is Photoshop Elements?
Photoshop Elements (PSE) is a graphic editor used to edit pictures, create new high-quality images or both. It is available for both Windows and macOS. Most of the features available in the PSD format are also available in PSE, but with a simpler user interface and more limited features.
Intelligent auto repair (commonly known as Levels), highlights and shadows, rotation, color correction, and resizing are only a few of the features that are only available in PSE.

Unfortunately, 3D modeling is not part of the PSE editor (although there are ways to export 3D objects into PSE), but this doesn’t mean that you can’t create more sophisticated content with 3D objects using Photoshop.

The simple drawing tools of Photoshop Elements can be used to create 3D objects.
Sketch up a basic 3D model with the pencil tool, the guides, and the 3D option. Although 3D elements are not part of PSE, you can access them in Photoshop by checking the drop-down menu under the 3D view properties.

Rio Olympics 2016 silver medallist Mo Farah has joined BBC Radio 5 live’s weekly athletics podcast, providing analysis from next month’s Rio Games.
Farah, the 2012 gold medallist in the 5,000m and 10,000m, will make his debut on Monday Night Track.
He is joined by BBC Sport pundit and double Olympic champion Laura Deas and athletics presenter Steve Cram.
The podcast, produced by the BBC Sport editorial team, will be available to listen on BBC iPlayer and the red button from 11:00 to 16:00 on Mondays.
BBC Sport comment expert Barry Glendenning, former Olympic silver medallist Haseeb Murtuja and Olympic track medallist Samantha Murray will also be involved.
The podcasters were picked by fans who followed a number of programmes made before the London 2012 Games.
