computehash on the other hand, if you do the same thing for a file called testfile.tar, this is a case that is much more difficult to compute the hash for. this is because in order for the file name “testfile.tar” to mean something, it needs to be on the remote site. now your local file is different from the remote file, so the hash of your local file will not be the same as the remote file’s hash. the easy way is to just “fake” the remote file in the local file.
