the instructions below are intended for linux and mac os x users. unfortunately, i didn’t have a windows version of the eboot file that will work with the retail launcher. i’ve modified the eboot file for the retail version and posted it on my site. if you want to try it, just unpack the retail version of the game and go to the steam/steamapps/common directory and extract the eboot file into the steam directory. then change the launcher to the retail version with the back-end and hit the play button in steam. you may need to have all the system files for gfwl unpacked in the steam directory before you can run the retail version. there is no password for the gfwl admin account. :p .
