It’s been roughly a decade since we last saw the Rage of Bahamut, and with the patch released earlier this year, the excitement has returned.

Or more specifically, the time for feasting and banter has come.

Of course, that’s no easy task, so this review is going to be short.

The patch update for Rage of Bahamut went live on July 14, and aside from the usual weapon and item changes, the highlight features “Kiai Arena” and “The Raging Fires”. These are two brand new dungeons crafted by new dungeons expert “TBking”, who was once involved with the original patch for the game.

Kiai Arena, named for the fierce cries of the warriors, is available for [G] level 30 characters, but you’ll need to climb up to level 62 to be able to take on The Raging Fires, which is the true beast here.

The arena is the more simple of the two dungeons, taking up 30 minutes to clear, but with The Raging Fires, you’ll need a full day to clear.

There are no fewer than 3,000 creatures to defeat, and even the enemies that are weak against light magic can be taken down with your powerful true and element powers.

In addition to the two dungeons, you can also get access to the Rise Up style maps (no longer accessible) for people who were unable to join the Rise Up server earlier.

In Rise Up maps, you cannot use any weapons and items, so you’ll need to use your own initiative and wisdom to overcome what the dungeon throws at you.

It’s a trial by strength, and once you clear the first wave of enemies with a small group, you’ll have to wait for your teammates to close in with their own strength and power and then enter the fray.
