Basic Features

Tasks created with TaskStack are shown in a hierarchical tree.
Tasks can be managed like an event list (unlike Event Scheduler), by creating date-based folders (unlike Lotus Notes) and specifying a time start and duration.
Tasks can be interrupted by one click or can be triggered by a message when an activity is finished.
The activity execution state is displayed in a colored bar.
The sequence of activities can be saved and restored (this makes it easy to backup and restore your tasks).
Tasks are stored on a SQL database so they are automatically synchronized between computers.
Clicking on a task (or on its icon) displays the complete execution history of the task.

Interface

When a task is created, it is shown in a tree view with an icon to start, stop and clear the activity. To start a task, click on its icon. To cancel the activity, simply click on the top right corner of the task’s window.
A time record can be added with an increment of a few seconds. The interface has been designed with usability in mind.
You can view and edit the parameters of an existing task by clicking on its task icon.
The interface can be scaled to any size.

Example

This is a simple example of a task in TaskStack.

Task: Show me the complete execution history of the next 10 tasks.
Task: Write down the conclusions of the conference
Task: Buy some “wine”
Task: Read my newspaper
Task: Pay the cable bill
Task: Fix my computer
Task: Play a board game with my daughter
Task: Write a task for today

As you can see, the execution time is displayed in the time record of the task.
Click on the task name to see its execution history.

Database

The database used to store the tasks is SQLite.
This database is embedded into the application. It is stored inside a subdirectory (not shared with the system, so it can be synchronized with a USB key), and is automatically synchronized with the database of TaskStack.
This database can be synchronized with a SQL database.

To investigate the contribution of the ATP-sensitive K(+) (K(ATP)) channel to the regulation of smooth muscle tone and excitability in airway smooth muscle, we studied the expression of the K(ATP) channel subunits (Kir6.1, Kir6.2, SUR2A, and SUR2B) and K(ATP) channel function in primary cultures of rat tracheal smooth
