How can I get the maximum value from a row in a matrix in R?
I have a matrix with multiple rows and columns. In each row, I would like to get the maximum value, while keeping in mind that the row can have multiple maximum values. For example:
Let’s say we have:
A=matrix(c(3,2,2,3,2), nrow=2)
My desired output would be something like this:
[1,] 3
[2,] 2
In my real data, the matrix is very large and contains multiple columns (not only one) and there are multiple rows.
I have tried to use the “rowmax” function but it doesn’t work on a matrix.

Check the number of maxima with ncol(A) and then use max.col:

This is a bug that has been reported and it is being tracked in the Closed Source section of the forum. Until a fix is found, if you want to use this product you will have to contact the software developer.

This is a User Interface Error reported by a customer. The software has been in development for some time now and the developers are currently working on a fix for this issue. We are working on a fix for this issue. We will provide a more detailed explanation after the new release is available.
The reason for the “Unsupported Product” message is that the software interface is designed to work in an approved manner that works with certain web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, and Safari and in other operating systems such as Windows. This is the standard browser interface for all of these browsers. There are some other web browsers that have different styles, if any others please contact us.
I like the program a lot. However, I have a problem with the main screen. It says that this is not a supported product.
