h.264 compression is also supported in eyebeam 1.5, providing high quality video in network environments that don’t have available packet loss protection. in addition, multi-language capabilities have been added, providing the ability to send voice and video data in user-defined languages.
while eyebeam 1.5 is able to launch directly from its icon on the screen of the counterpath’s pc, its full features can be accessed and used by the user by using “interactive mode” and the sip softphone client. this mode allows the user to see which sip users are active and connected (for the current user and any sub-users), and to test a single user’s presence, video, and media flows, such as picture, video, or audio, for the call.
