While I really like this new version, there are a few things from before the last version that I think make it less useful than it ought to be. Primarily, I’m disappointed that the new interface takes away some of the enhanced features from the options that freeze on the screen. The Developer Preview option is mostly gone. The Live View option also might be lost depending on how Adobe plans to change the technology and program performance down the line. But Adobe has embraced and enhanced the Level feature with an easier way to manage settings.

What It Does: The New Layer tool allows you to create and apply different layers to an image. You can apply a new layer over a previous one or add one underneath any existing layers. You can also apply different effects such as color, brightness or opacity to different layers. This allows you to add certain characteristics and elements to an image without removing the ones you originally added.
With the Content-Aware options, like the one available in Content-Aware Fill, you can add a new color to an image, using the other colors in the image to generate a new color and fill the area that is empty. Content-Aware Replace allows you to replace only the empty areas of a photo, and you do not need to delete or move the original object. You can even add text to an adjustment that matches the color.
What It Does: There are three main tools to access and control your tools: the Tool Palette, the History panel and the Layers panel. The Tool Palette allows you to access and control the tools that are available on your workspace.

here’s an idea: how about we support multiple tabbed documents? or crt different features into each document? With multiple documents it would be that much easier to go back and forth between different features especially if you’re a new user. It’s like having a diary or journal where you can play around with different features and then when you’re ready to publish your finished products, you can just select the correct tab and have all the options readily available.
