i have audigy 5 pro. for some reason, i can’t see the input devices in device manager – i just see it in a windows explorer windows. the device does show up when i press alt + ctrl + del. it works properly, but i can’t see it when i go into the device manager.
hi, i have a sound blaster audigy 5/zs which i’ve been using with my ps3 audio and digital recording since day one. i’ve just switched to vista and installed the latest drivers for both my sb16 emulation card and audigy platinum 5.0 zs card. now i’m having trouble setting up the external audio interface with windows vista. should i use the bundled sequencer or does anyone have any other pointers?

i have just installed the supported drivers for my audigy 2zs and audigy se from the cd-5.0.2. i was able to take the card out of the box with no problem. i then installed the bundled fw980 driver. then i tried to run the audio sequencer bundle. the sequencer loads and shows up in the control panel. yet when i try to launch it it keeps coming up with no audio capture devices found. does anyone know why my zs’s are not being detected?
i’ve been experimenting with the audigy 2 zs (x86) drivers and am playing any game that i want to. i then hit record to capture the sound on the pc so that i could edit and trim the sound in adobe audition. so far so good. all is good until i load up a game that uses the wavesoundstream function from the vmr-7. i hit record and start playing the game. the audigy 2 zs driver switches back to the sb16 emulation mode. the wavesoundstream function from the vmr-7 is no longer working. it switches to the routing function in the audio sequencer bundle. i’m using windows xp pro. i have a sound blaster audigy 2 zs card.
