what is alphacontrols? one of the happiest moments i had was the first time i saw a delphi brand new skin. it is “different” and “smooth” and “easy on the eye”. i found the mail address “scrivens” on the web and got my hands on it almost right away. looking at the free loader source code i found that it’s easier than most to understand. it had a certain range of possibilities. there was a very decent
the response of the developers (on the delphi and umlc forums) was good and quickly. we worked on it during the easter weekend and at the beginning of the new year. it was “ready to use” by the end of january. we had to decide when to announce it. we worked on this component for 2 months, and after that period i made a decision: the component should be released before the 20th of february. it will be stable even on the latest delphi and c++ builder versions (probably it will work even on the latest rad studio versions!).
