Sharpen strength works from the bright, no-detail, edge definition all the way to the barely discernable image.
The front-end of this filter is a little odd, however. From the main menu, you can select settings from a number of presets that you can associate with your favorite File types. That’s a nice idea – but the problem is that the options in each of these presets are somewhat different. You may later want to enter another preset, or have a single, specific setting across multiple presets. In that case, you will have a difficult time determining how many current settings are available. You could choose one, but only find out that there are five more settings in this preset. A simpler approach would be to have the front-end allow you to pick which defaults you want for a specific setting. A senior review can help with this, by the way.

Adobe has just added a new feature called “Light & Lens,” which enhances the ability to create custom filters, blend modes and presets in different combinations.
