The entire workflow is stellar, and everything functions as you’d expect it to, except for the Smart Presets options. It appears the new LR6 is client and server sided at the same time, and is still a little buggy. Developers have optimised the old engine to output more pixels, but you do need a pretty high-end laptop or desktop to get the most out of the new features. I recently work a lot with Photoshop on my laptop, and I’m soon down to a single full stop. What I’d like to see in next year’s release is the ability to edit images without restarting the application. A small icon inside the Photoshop Tool bar might be all it takes. I’m already betting on the next version of Photoshop to be much better to work with, even if it’s just for me, personally, when I work on my MacBook Pro. Until then, and whatever next big release, work hard with the new CC of Photoshop, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.
