Webrec.cab Download For Windows 7
We recently purchased a new Dimension 4100 and got what appeared to be a problem with the upgrade from Windows XP to Vista. We could not have that, so we installed Internet Explorer. We got to the Web Web area, clicked on the test version button. Installed. Installed the update for Windows Vista. Nothing. I clicked on the test version button and restarted. Same thing. Installed, update for Windows Vista, nothing. I tried using the Internet Explorer upgrade disc that came with the computer. Still nada. Next, I re-installed Internet Explorer and once again, the Webrec control worked fine for several hours. Then, the control stopped working. When it does not work, if I reboot the computer, it will work the next time it boots up.
I have a program that I use to find my network. It uses ActiveX controls. It is a huge server. I am unable to download updates. I have tried using the latest version of IE and still am having problems. I am asked for a password, I enter one, receive the message “cannot verify publisher for…”, and then the program crashes. I have been online searching for answers, as I am unable to find any as of yet. The program is unable to load the latest version of ActiveX controls.
The instructions for installing Webrec.cab say to run the Webrec Windows Explorer.cab and then the WebRec.cab from a folder that should have been created when the ActiveX Control was installed. I have tried this and it does not work. I have tried clicking the Webrec.cab directly. I have tried downloading the new active X control and installing it. I have tried running it in Dos prompt and I get an error with the path for the files.
