i purchased the ids software through my dealership using the visa / mastercard or american express card and i entered the 12 digit security code and the purchased date & time. however, i went to check the account details on the ford.com website. i found that it is not authorized and i’m unable to activate it. when i called the dealership on the telephone they assured me that i had the ids software and i could activate it online and that the system would be updated to my account.
they also told me that it would appear as an ids instance # 0000 on the ford.com website. however, when i called the dealership i asked them about this instance number. they stated that they don’t know what the instance number is and we can only activate the software on a computer. i tried to communicate to the dealership that i need to get back in the ids software that i purchased and i told them that i want to check on the status of my account. they tried to provide me with a case number to obtain the status of my account. i repeated my request to check on the status of my account and this was when they stated that they could only activate the software on a computer. i also told them that the dealership has stated that i have the software installed and i wanted to find out how to activate my software on my new laptop.
