on the day of the garam dunk contest, tifa and shalla went to avalanche peak with muffin. tifa saw cloud fighting as the “vast majority” of the people cheered him on. muffin shared her breakfast and casually watched the game.
tifa followed shalla’s advice to steal a spotlight, but was unknowingly defeated by shinra’s public security. she was later taken by gunther to a shinra facility where she was forced to practice, appearing in a dream sequence. tifa met with cloud after the battle, telling him she has to leave. barret objected to her leaving and was back later on. she made her way to the apartment, and asked him directly what had happened after he left nibelheim. cloud gave ambiguous answers and appeared uncomfortable. tifa stopped him from killing johnny after they dealt with the soldiers, scared of how callous he has become. she performed two of her limit breaks in the apartment.
tifa’s techniques are showcased in her limit breaks. among the most powerful are dolphin blow, an uppercut punch that summons a dolphin to attack with her, and meteor strike, where she lifts the enemy (of any size, including a giant mech or one of the planet’s colossal weapon monsters ) over her head with a single arm and leaps into the air before throwing it to the floor. although only gameplay appears, tifa’s techniques also appear in gameplay outside of gameplay.
