Fairly late to the party as I started Windows upgrade procedure at the end of last week. With all new hardware and fairly old xp 32bit, I was able to use the Software and Devices dialog to run the recommended drivers off a.zip file. The file was downloaded from the NVIDIA website. Everything worked perfectly after a restart. I will try and upgrade my 32bit win7 with the 64bit windows 8.1 which I have installed on a second drive so I can always revert to my original OS and setup.

Having an issue with getting 1803 installed on my desktop, after reading through the thread, my install screen keeps bugging with the error UAC requesting that I enable Desktop Mode. We are currently setting this computer up as a gaming system but it has a GPU swapable NVIDIA 7600GT and 2TB HDD. I believe it is the video driver that is causing the bugged install…it’s running on the previous drivers and works fine with the old driver.

Pentium4 (3.07GHz) 768Mb Ram. ASUS P4P800 motherboard. Upgraded to 32 bit version. VRAM controller is Nvidia GeForce 7300LE but did not work with the official windows update. Thats when using your InteliView to select the exact 64bit version of GPU drivers. Please note that the asus website will list the exact version as 7300LE but is still 32bit. Hope this helps others. While waiting on my Nvidia 555m drivers to be approved by Nvidia and put into the Mac App Store, i found this WHQL driver version 280.26-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe and thought of trying it. Here is my story. My desktop quit on me in Win10 and I checked the Event Viewer. I saw there was a Class: 0xb25 run-time error (1002) with the title description “Xbox 360 Hardware”. I did some Googling and found that this error always came when the hardware component of the computer was not compatible with the Windows OS. I went to the hardware section and checked the list of components for the computer and found out that my motherboard was not there. So I went to the motherboard website to find out if I can order the motherboard. The motherboard was already available, but the price was $25 more than my motherboard. So I went back to check if my desktop could work again and it was a class: 0xb25 error. The only thing I could think of was that the computer does not know how to talk to the board. So I went to my motherboard website and ordered a new motherboard. A week later I got a new motherboard and I did not have the class: 0xb25 error anymore. However when I tried to install the new motherboard, my old motherboard would not allow it to install. They were telling me that the motherboard is incompatible with the Windows 10 OS. Because the computer was working with the old motherboard, I did not know what to do or if this could cause my new motherboard not to install. So I pulled out the old motherboard, removed the hard drive, put the new motherboard in and then plugged in the hard drive. I saw that the hard drive is not a USB drive, it was an old S-ATA drive. So I decided that the old motherboard was not compatible with the hard drive so I went to the motherboard website and ordered a SATA drive. Now the last issue was the class: 0xb25 error. I was not sure what the problem was. So I returned the motherboard and went to my computer’s manufacturer website to check on the motherboard. The motherboard is Windows compatible. So I returned the motherboard and then I went to the Nvidia website and downloaded the card drivers. After I installed the card drivers and restarted the computer, there was no class: 0xb25 error anymore. After this I was able to install the motherboard and put my hard drive back in. So my computer works again and I am pretty happy with this except for the fact that I did not know what happened. I don’t know what the motherboard is. If any of you have any clue, please let me know. I am willing to pay for the one motherboard even though I do not use it because I need it for some other project.
