if you’re using microsoft access 2007 and all you get is access cannot be started and then looks like a new access application, not a problem with the export wizard as the above error suggests. if you did not backup your database first, you can copy the export wizard backup from the “private documents” folder of your acedao 3.5 library folder to the same location for the acedao 3.6 library. when you do this, make sure to locate the acedao 3.5 library folder inside your “private documents” folder, and then go through the setup wizard just as if you had been backed up to install the export wizard, and then the import wizard will be there. it’s not the same as the original export wizard, but it is good for troubleshooting if you have the original export wizard backup.

i have tried this with dsqldb and can not get it to work. i am rather perplexed on why in microsoft sql server management studio in the tasks window selecting import/export wizard and choose import to server i get an error that the system cannot find the microsoft jet database engine but that cannot be true because i have downloaded it. i have a site with a few templates and as i am the only one that writes code i am not about to give up everything i have when there is a workaround for something that should be a default setting in microsoft.
import / export wizard to import from excel works fine. but when i try to export as a schema to a database, the error occurs. using 32 bit version of jet database engine 4.0 installed on a windows server 2008. since upgrading to windows 8.1, i have been receiving this error. filling in the default password does not work either.
i have a serious problem with database connection. i have two databases, the second is on a different server and the first one is a back-up of the second one. the first database is on the ms jet 4.0 server and the second database on the same machine. i use the first database to show all the tables and details, if it’s possible, i try to put a link to the second database in the first database to show the tables that are not on the first one.
i am getting this error when importing an excel file to a ms jet database engine (4.0) file. you have the option of importing either existing access database or your “3rd party database”. i selected to import the existing database. while the importation was running the error occurred: “an error occured while trying to access a metadata information provider.”
