Serial Solidworks Electricall
I am using numpy(python) to parse the script in order to get the first 10 lines in the file and use them to define a boolean array. I have managed to do the first part by doing this:
result = []
for i in range(100):
line = open(path, mode=’r’, encoding=’latin-1′).readline()
a = [x for x in line.split(‘\t’) if x.strip()]
result.append(a)
Now I’m stuck as to how to check if the first 10 elements in the array can be used to define the boolean array and if the boolean array has some zeroes and/or ones.
This is what I’ve tried but it doesn’t work:
result = numpy.array(result[:10])
if (result == [0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0]).all() == False:
print(“Somethings wrong…”)
And this one doesn’t work either.

It’s because you’re not converting your boolean array to the numpy array, but you are comparing the array and booleans(0’s and 1’s) instead. The == operator check if the 2 operands are equal, instead you want to check if both are boolean.
Use numpy.any instead:
if numpy.any(numpy.array(result[:10])!= 0):
print(“Somethings wrong…”)

Other.py
print(data)
I run them like this
Python master.py
Python other.py
How can I get 1 to be printed instead of 1?

You need to import the module, in this case the one in which data is defined.
import other
other.data = 1
Generally you import modules and you define variables directly in them.
