Can not access.bash_profile in OS X Yosemite
I recently upgraded to Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and I cannot edit my.bash_profile in my home directory. I have tried both of the following commands, with no luck:
$ [ -f ~/.bash_profile ]
$. ~/.bash_profile
Any ideas how to access the contents of this file?

I believe the solution here is to call launchctl:
$ launchctl load -w /Users/me/Library/LaunchAgents/me.sh
There are a couple of things to bear in mind. The first is that if you have a launchd plist that contains actions, you probably need to name it the same way. You can find this out by running launchctl list -p | grep me.sh. The file will look something like this:
/Users/me/Library/LaunchAgents/me.plist
Second, you need to make sure that.bash_profile is available in the file system. You can check this by running ls -ld /Users/me/Library/LaunchAgents/me.plist. If it’s not there, you have some other plist(s) that launchd is using as its start up script. You can usually identify this by running launchctl list -p | grep me.plist.

The other solution is to directly edit the.plist file with sudo launchctl edit. To edit your.bash_profile:
sudo launchctl edit /Library/LaunchAgents/me.sh
