Graphical user interface

The user interface is available in several platforms, including Windows, macOS, Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad). A separate product, “AutoCAD LT”, is available for home users.

An area of major development in the past decade was the addition of the 3D user interface. Introduced in 2009, the 3D interface, which allows the creation of 3D models in CAD applications, was once thought to be a feature exclusive to Autodesk’s 3ds Max, which is a proprietary 3D application. In May 2016, the first public preview of the 3D functionality was shown to Autodesk users as part of Autodesk Fusion 360, enabling Autodesk users to import and create 3D models within the Autodesk Fusion 360 product.

Recent versions of the 3D user interface have allowed the creation of 2D/3D models and the capability to import files from 3ds Max and related 3D applications. The 3D interface features common functions found in other 3D applications, including 3D modeling and texturing, rendering, placement of objects, and importing and exporting.

In 2016, Autodesk announced that the 3D user interface would be introduced for AutoCAD. When AutoCAD 2017 was released, the 3D interface was replaced by the new 2D/3D modeling interface.

In 2017, Autodesk introduced Maya LT 2018. This was a free application which allowed users to create 3D models using the 3D interface.

Unit Test in Visual Studio 2010 – Assert.AreEqual() Not Working

I have a.cs file with some custom validation rules. One of those rules looks for a certain key inside a dictionary. I have a unit test written to test the validation rules, but the assert does not seem to be working. Here is the code:

I’ve tried using [TestMethod] on the test method, but it’s not picking it up. I’ve tried looking at other examples online, but I can’t get them to work either.
What am I doing wrong?

You are looking for IsNullOrEmpty() instead of AreEqual().
If you compare null to null, you get null. Null is not equal to anything. So the assertion fails.
If you compare null to an empty string, you get an empty string, which is equal to the empty string (“”). AreEqual will never fail for this.
However, if you compare null to a string with any length, you get the full string “null”. AreEqual will fail because the strings are not equal.
