Install SFV Checker
First Install.Net Framework v3.5/v3.5 SP1/v2.0 –
Open cmd and type ‘Enfis_SFV.exe -h’ to get the help.
Create a folder for SFV files in C:\Enfis\ folder.
Enfis_SFV.exe must be copied in this folder for working.
Create SFV file
Type at the command line (in Enfis folder):
-c : Generate the SFV file
-f : The directory (folder) where the SFV files will be generated

Command Line SFV Checker [Mac/Win]

This tool can check the CRC32 integrity of SFV files using the most widely used algorithm for CRC calculation (CRC-32) by calculating the hash sum of the original file and comparing it to the stored CRC sum.
The SFV Standard was originally defined by S. Khatchadourian ( in an RFC document.
Current versions are based on the implementation by T. Chisnall. (
If the hash sum of the file is the same as the stored CRC sum, the original file is correct.
If the hash sum of the file is different from the stored CRC sum, the original file has been corrupted and the file should be repaired.
When executed with the following arguments, Command Line SFV Checker checks that the SFV file has valid SFV header, the SFV file name and the CRC sum of the file.
–help or /? or –help/-h: show this help
–verify or -v: check if the SFV file is correct
–extract or -e: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–encrypt: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–decrypt: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–md5 or -M: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–md4 or -m: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–sha1 or -S: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–sha256 or -s: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–sha512 or -M: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file
–rfc: checksum of the original file and saves it as a file

-g: Force to enable CRC32 detection of SFV file
-a: Check also MD5 hashes
-t: Time to execute check
-s: Save log in the specified file

How to use?

To use Enfis Command Line SFV Checker it is necessary to perform the following actions:
1) You must create/edit the SFV file.
2) You must execute it with the Enfis_SFV.exe -g -a -t -s -o- -d command. The output of this command will be saved in the specified file. (Use the ‘Enfis_SFV.exe -h’ command to obtain software help)
3) If you want to remove any SFV file from the “SFV file list”, you must execute this command:
“Enfis_SFV.exe -rf -s -t”
The output will be saved in the specified file.
Note: When you need to perform the checks on multiple SFV files, you must execute a single command for all the files.
For Example: To check a group of SFV files, you must execute the following command:
“Enfis_SFV.exe -g -a -t -s -o- -d”
4) To remove all SFV file checks, you must execute the following command:
“Enfis_SFV.exe -rf”
To obtain software help, you must execute the command ‘Enfis_SFV.exe -h’ at Ms-Dos prompt.
